7-Day Tangier To Marrakech Tour Via Merzouga Desert - Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up in Tangier – Chefchaouen

Our guide will meet you at Tangier’s airport or port, and we’ll begin our 7-day journey from Tangier to Marrakech by passing through various gorgeous places, including Chefchaouen, or Chaouen as it’s often known. Located in the world’s only transcontinental natural park that has been designated as a biosphere reserve.

It’s a town painted white and blue on the slope of a mountain, filled by friendly and courteous people who offer visitors stunning urban landscapes, valuable sampling of local crafts, calm and tranquillity that is rare to find in other parts of the world nowadays. At the Riad, you’ll have dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Moulay Idriss – Fez

We’ll bid farewell to Chefchaouen’s rich world and go to Fez, one of the imperial cities that is proud to be home to one of the world’s oldest universities. We’ll stop along the trip to see the well-preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis.

We will also be able to see a panoramic view of Moulay Idriss, the holy city where we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will arrive in Fez to enjoy the sunset while we visit the walls and doors of their medina or simply to drink the welcome tea from the Terrace of the Riad. The Riad provides dinner and lodging.

Day 3: Visit Fez – Ifrane – Middle Atlas – Midelt

We begin our guided tour of the medina, which has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, after a hearty breakfast in the Riad. Its convoluted lanes, which are organized by guilds of potters and dyers, and the activity of its inhabitants will take you back in time centuries. We’ll start by looking at some mud buildings, palm trees, and distant kasbahs. We’ve arrived at the desert’s entrance at Merzouga’s magnificent dunes, Erg Chebbi desert.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert – Rissani Market – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

We’ll leave the lunar landscape behind here, and the main green, ocher, and other colors will take their place. Arrival in Marrakech in the evening/night, dinner, and Riad lodging.

Day 7: Marrakech – Airport

Breakfast and a tour of the famous medina and Marrakech in general until the agreed time, then transfer to the airport, where we will accompany you to check your bags and show them to the boarding gate, bringing our services and the vacation to a close.
