Our exploratory tour will begin with a visit to Fes, which was formerly known as the Mecca of the West and Africa’s Athena. With a population of almost 1 million, it is the country’s second-largest metropolis after Casablanca. This city is the country’s former capital and one of four imperial cities. Fez is divided into three sections, the oldest of which is Fez el Bali, which is enclosed by a large wall and contains about 9000 narrow lanes and alleys.

Fez-Jdid, or New Fes, is home to the Mellah, or Jewish district, as well as the Ville Nouvelle, which was built during the French rule. UNESCO has designated Fez el Bali as a World Heritage Site. It has the world’s largest medina. The oldest university in the world, the University of Al-Karaouine, was founded in AD 859 and is set among its small alleyways and alleys. This institution is still operational today.
