Morocco travel itinerary 7 days

Day 1:Arrival in Marrakesh

Our 7-day Morocco itinerary from Marrakesh begins with our driver meeting you at the airport and taking you to your riad in the medina. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore. Overnight at the riad.

Day 2:Marrakech guided tour

After breakfast, we will start the day with a guided tour of Marrakesh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Red City for its historic landmarks. We will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrasa, and Bahia Palace. Next, we will explore the souks of Medina, artisanal areas, and Jemaa el-Fna Square, an intangible cultural heritage site. In the afternoon, we will visit El Badi Palace, Majorelle Gardens, Menara Gardens, or the Marrakech Museum. Then, we will return to your riad for the night

Day 3:Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

After breakfast, we head south to the Tizi nTichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, passing Berber villages and scenic views. Our first stop is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site and Hollywood of Morocco. We will enjoy lunch and take photos before visiting Taourirt Kasbah. We will continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing the Valley of Roses before reaching Dades Valley. Here, we will see the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations and a panoramic viewpoint. Dinner and overnight at a hotel.

Day 4:Dades Valley - Valley of Roses - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, we will drive via Dades Valley, stopping to admire its stunning gorges. Next, we will explore Todra Gorges, where towering rock walls frame spectacular view. We will take time to explore before lunch in the palm groves of Tinjdad and Touroug. In the afternoon, we reach Merzouga, where you will ride dromedaries across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. After a two-hour trek, arrive at a luxury desert camp for tea, dinner, music by the fire, and a magical night under the stars.

Day 5:Merzouga - Rissani - Ifrane - Fes

We start the day watching the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at the camp. Then, we return to Merzouga and drive to Rissani town. This town was once the capital of Tafilalet and is still an important market center. Every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, there is a lively market called a souk, which we will explore. After walking through the souk, we will continue to Erfoud. We will visit a workshop that makes beautiful items from fossilized marble there. We will drive along the Ziz River and stop to enjoy the view of the Ziz Valley. Next, we will take a lunch break in Midelt. After lunch, we will go to the cedar forest, where you can see monkeys. Then, we will visit Ifrane, a snowy town with Swiss-style houses, before heading to your accommodation in Fes for dinner and a night in a riad.

Day 6:Fes - Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of Fes, starting at the Royal Palace gate. Next, explore the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, entering through the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud). We will visit sites like the Medrasa Bouanania, Najjarine Fountain, Tanneries, and Quaraouin Mosque, the oldest university in the world. After this, we will continue to the Jewish quarter (Mellah) and enjoy panoramic city views from an ancient fortress before heading to Chefchaouen, the Blue City of Morocco, in the Rif Mountains. We will have time to walk through the Medina and spend the night in a riad near Uta el-Hammam Square.

Day 7:Chefchaouen - Tangier

After breakfast, we will drive to Tangier. If time allows, we will visit Tetouan, a UNESCO-listed city. The tour concludes at airport or port of Tangier. We hope you had an amazing trip and look forward to welcoming you again in Morocco.
