Your 5 Days in Morocco start with a pickup from Tangier, whether at the port, airport, or hotel. Tangier, known as the “Bride of the North,” is where the Mediterranean meets the Atlantic. First, we will visit Cape Spartel and the famous Hercules Cave. Then, we will drive to the village of Tetouan. Tetouan is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a beautiful old town and white buildings. It is known as the White Dove City and has Spanish influences since it was the capital of the Spanish Protectorate of Morocco in the 20th century. After exploring Tetouan, we will head to Chaouen, also known as Chefchaouen. This Blue City is famous for its blue-toned medina in the Rif Mountains. You will spend the night in a Riad near Uta el-Hammam square.
Start day two of your 5 Days in Morocco with breakfast in a riad in Chefchaouen. Then we travel through the Rif Mountains toward Fes. Once in Fes, we will tour the Medina with a local guide, including the Karaouine Mosque and University—the oldest in the world. Explore madrasahs like Bou Inania and Cherratine, the Mausoleum of Moulay Idris, the Tanners’ Quarter, the Royal Palace with golden gates, and the old Jewish quarter (Mellah). After an enriching cultural day, enjoy dinner and spend the night in a charming riad.
Your 5 Days in Morocco continue south after breakfast. We stop in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” then visit the cedar forest, home to friendly Barbary macaques. Next, we reach Midelt for a lunch break before crossing the scenic Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass. We drive through the Ziz Valley, famous for its palm groves and stunning views.
