Itinerary

Ultimate Morocco 6 Day Itinerary Guide

Day 1:Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

Our driver will greet you in a private car at the airport on day one. If you are in Casablanca, we will pick you up from your hotel. First, we will visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the tallest mosques in the world, which is open to everyone. After lunch, we will visit Rabat, the 4th capital city of Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will see the 12th-century Hassan Tower and the historic Kasbah of the Oudayas. Next, we will travel to Chaouen, a beautiful town in the Rif Mountains. It is famous for its blue-painted buildings. We will explore the Medina, visit the Kasbah, and learn about the textiles of the town. Finally, we will relax at our riad in the historic center.

Day 2:Chefchaouen- Volubilis - Meknes – Fes

After breakfast in Chefchaouen, we will continue our trip to Volubilis. It is an ancient Roman city with cool ruins like big stone buildings and arches. You can imagine how people lived a long, long time ago. Next, we will visit Meknes, a city once ruled by a powerful king named Sultan Moulay Ismail. We will see a big gate called Bab Mansour, an old market called the Medina, and even a beautiful tomb where the king is buried. After that, we will travel to a magical city called Fes. It has twisty streets, colorful shops, and many interesting places to explore. People say it is like stepping into a storybook. Finally, we will sleep in a comfortable riad (a unique Moroccan house) right in the heart of Fes.

Day 3:Guided Tour in Fes

After breakfast, we will take a guided tour of Fes, starting at the Royal Palace gate and the Jewish quarter (Mellah). Next, explore the medieval Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, entering through the Blue Gate (Bab Boujloud). We will visit sites like the Medrasa Bouanania, Najjarine Fountain, Tanneries, and the Quaraouiyine Mosque, the oldest university in the world. We will continue to enjoy panoramic city views from an ancient fortress before returning to your riad for the night.

Day 4:Fez – Ifrane – Cedars Forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we will travel south via Imouzzer and stop in Ifrane, a town with European-style buildings and cold weather. Next, we will visit the Cedars Forest to see the monkeys. We will continue via the Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in Midelt for lunch. Then, we will drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz River. In the afternoon, we will reach Merzouga, where we will ride camels across the sand dunes to watch the sunset. We will enjoy Berber drumming by the campfire, a tasty dinner at the luxury desert camp, and spend the night under the stars.

Day 5:Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Boumalne Dades

We recommend waking up early to see the sunrise over the dunes before departing for Rissani, the former capital of Tafilalet and home to a bustling traditional souk. We will also visit Erfoud to explore fossil workshops before driving through the palm grove oasis of Touroug and Tinjdad. Next, we will arrive at the spectacular Todra Gorges, a paradise for rock climbers with towering red cliffs. After lunch, we will continue through the Dades Valley, stopping at the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations before reaching your charming riad in Boumalne Dades for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6:Boumalne Dades – Roses Valley – Skoura Palm Grove – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

On the final day of your 6-day Morocco desert itinerary, we will visit the Roses Valley, famous for its Rose Festival in May, showcasing perfumes, rose water, and other products. Next, we will drive through the Skoura Palm Grove before reaching Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert.” After lunch, we visited Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. Budgeting for Morocco

Planning a 6-day Morocco trip with Morocco Agogo Tours is an affordable way to see the country without spending too much. On average, people spend €80–€180 a day, depending on whether they choose superior stays or luxury camps in the desert and riads. Some activities, like camel rides in the Sahara Desert or trips to the Atlas Mountains and Volubilis, may cost extra. But booking a tour helps avoid surprise costs. The exchange rate is reasonable, and local experiences, like eating with a Berber family or visiting the Hassan II Mosque, are both fun and affordable. Our tours ensure you taste the best local food in real Moroccan settings, making food a highlight of your trip.

Packing and Clothing Advice for Morocco

When preparing for your 6-day Morocco trip with Morocco Agogo Tours, it is important to pack smart for the different weather and local customs. In cities and the desert, pack lightweight, long pants, short sleeves, and a headscarf (especially for women visiting religious sites). For cooler evenings, especially in the Atlas Mountains, bring a light jacket, sweatshirt, or thermal clothes if you travel in colder months. A light rain jacket can be helpful in case of wind or unexpected rain. Do not forget essentials like sunglasses, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes for desert walks or camel rides. We will give you a complete packing list when you book, so you will be ready for everything, from shopping in busy souks to enjoying sunsets in the Sahara. Dressing comfortably and respectfully will help you enjoy your trip and show respect for the culture and changing weather of Morocco.

Shopping in Morocco

A 6-day Morocco trip with Morocco Agogo Tours is incomplete without exploring the lively shopping scenes in cities like Marrakech. The busy markets (souks) and hidden shops (fondouks) are full of unique items, like handwoven rugs, leather goods, spices, ceramics, and traditional lamps. You can also visit old schools (madrasas), see local crafts near palaces, or relax in peaceful gardens after shopping. Our guides will give you helpful tips from an expert Morocco shopping guide so you can confidently find your way through the winding alleys and find authentic souvenirs at fair prices. Whether you are looking for beautiful decorations or tasty spices, shopping in Morocco is more than buying things. It is a way to experience the rich art and culture of Morocco.

My wife and I chose Morocco Agogo Tours for our 6 day Morocco itinerary and it was the best decision we made! The route included all the highlights Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Merzouga, the Todra Gorges, and finally Marrakech. Every day had a perfect mix of history, nature, and cultural immersion. We especially appreciated the detailed day-by-day itinerary they provided it helped us know what to pack (layers for the Atlas Mountains, lighter clothes for the desert) and what to expect. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Dar Hatim in Fes and a traditional Moroccan dinner in the desert camp both unforgettable experiences! Shopping in the Marrakech souks was an adventure, and we brought home some beautiful handmade pottery and argan oil Morocco Agogo Tours made the entire experience stress-free and deeply rewarding.

I was nervous about costs, but Morocco Agogo Tours made our 6-day Morocco itinerary surprisingly affordable without sacrificing quality. Our accommodations were a mix of cozy guest houses and scenic desert camps, all clean, welcoming, and well-situated. We traveled from Casablanca to Marrakech, stopping in Chefchaouen, Volubilis, and the Atlas Mountains, with plenty of time to explore. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us find the best eating spots from the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa night market to a quiet local café in Rabat and he even gave us great packing tips and helped us navigate the souks so we could shop smart (and not get ripped off!). I highly recommend Morocco Agogo Tours if you’re looking for a 6-day Morocco itinerary that balances adventure, culture, and value.
