In Casablanca, you will find the huge and beautiful Hassan II Mosque, one of the biggest in the world. Fes has an old medina full of narrow streets and the world’s oldest university, Al Quaraouiyine. Rabat, the capital, mixes old and new with historic places like the Kasbah of the Udayas and modern buildings where the government works. These cities show excellent history through their buildings, traditions, and how they have helped the country grow.
Our 5-day itinerary in Morocco combines the city of Marrakech with the beautiful Atlas Mountains. This trip is full of fun, nature, and learning about Moroccan culture. It is the perfect mix of city fun and desert adventure.
A Moroccan Hammam is a traditional way to take a bath and relax. It is also a part of Moroccan culture. First, you sit in a warm steam room. The steam helps open your skin’s pores to be cleaned better. Then, a helper will wash you with a unique black soap from olives. Afterward, they gently scrub your skin with a rough glove called a kessa. This helps remove old skin and makes your body feel clean and soft. There are two kinds of hammams in Morocco. In public hammams, many people go together and enjoy talking and relaxing. In private hammams, it is quieter and calmer, just for you or your group. Sometimes, they use oils and nice-smelling herbs to help you feel even more relaxed. If it is your first time, go with an open mind, and do not forget to drink water before you go.
Come with us on a fun trip to two amazing cities in Northern Morocco: Tangier and Casablanca. Tangier is a colorful city by the sea. It is a special place where Europe and Africa meet. You can walk through the old city (called the Medina), visit the old castle (Kasbah), and see the busy market in the Grand Socco, where people sell handmade crafts and tasty food. Casablanca is a big, modern city. It is also essential for business in Morocco. One of the best places to see is the huge Hassan II Mosque. It is one of the biggest mosques in the world, and it sits right next to the ocean. You can also visit the Royal Palace, go shopping in busy markets, and enjoy the beach area called the Corniche. This tour offers insights into Northern Morocco’s history and culture, with stays in beautiful traditional riads.
When traveling to Morocco, it is good to be ready for the culture and daily life. People usually dress modestly, especially in small towns and near mosques, so it is respectful to cover your shoulders and knees. A friendly greeting is “Salaam Alaikum,” which means “Hello.” Morocco is mostly safe, but in busy places like markets, be careful with your things. Some people might charge too much or offer help you did not ask for, so it is best to agree on prices before taking a taxi or hiring a guide. You can use trains between cities or ride in private taxis to get around. Staying in a riad, a traditional Moroccan hotel, can be a fun experience. You can find ATMs in most cities, and exchanging money is easy. If you want help planning your trip, a local travel expert can make it easier.
Yes, the camel trek in Merzouga is a gentle and scenic experience. However, if you have any back or mobility issues, we can arrange alternative transport, a 4×4, to the desert camp.
